Ed Vallar joined GMAG in 2001, and has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry.

Ed leads the firm's research and investment strategies. He scans the market for attractive investment opportunities and stays keenly aware of market conditions to incorporate into our overall investment philosophy and into each portfolio. Ed's ability to identify market trends and to understand the impact of market changes on the investment portfolios is highly valued by the firm's investment team.

Ed has been a featured speaker at industry events, including most recently the 2009 Inside ETFs Conference in Boca Baton, Florida, sharing his knowledge about market conditions and investment strategy. GMAG clients benefit from Ed's depth of experience in the investment industry, and especially his ability to take research and theory and translate it into workable, actionable portfolio solutions.

Ed is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder, which is considered to be a top designation in the investment profession. He has been a CFA charterholder since 1992.
